I’m barely keeping up with my NaNoWriMo word count today, but I wanted to write a quick post with a few websites that I have found useful while working to improve my writing. Note: I have no relationship with these sites or their creators. I just think they are worth sharing!
Writers Edit has great articles about how to improve your writing under their “Resources for Writers” header.
One of my favorites? Tips for how to write about the passage of time. Find it here: https://writersedit.com/5-ways-present-flow-time-story/
I write speculative fiction/Sci-Fi, not romance, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t romance in my stories. This website has some great advice for writers that’s applicable across genres. I especially liked this post: http://romanceuniversity.org/2016/10/12/how-your-narrative-distance-affects-show-dont-tell-by-janice-hardy/

You MUST check out the emotion thesaurus on this site. Fantastic. There is a more extensive version of the thesaurus available for purchase as well, and they also have similar resources for setting, character traits, etc. Brilliant!
Happy writing!
